Experience It. Deepen It. Learn to Guide It.
For those who feel called to guide others in their healing, the next step in the FIT Journey is FIT™ Professional Practitioner Certification — a five-week virtual training and mentoring experience designed to help you develop the understanding, presence, and practical skills needed to guide others one-on-one through the complete Focused Intention Technique.
This is not about memorizing 11 steps. It’s about learning how to remain present with another person, recognize when they leave or move into protection, and help them return to their direct experience — without force, judgment, or interpretation.
Held by presence, not credentials alone.
- Counsellors and therapists
- Coaches and mentors
- Trauma-informed practitioners
- Addiction and recovery professionals
- Bodyworkers and somatic practitioners
- Energy and healing arts professionals
- Wellness professionals
- Select non-professionals with a strong commitment to personal growth and supporting others
Because FIT involves guiding people through deeply personal experiences, readiness is considered individually. Previous professional credentials may be helpful, but personal capacity, self-awareness, integrity, and the ability to remain present are equally important.
You must know it in your own body before you can guide it in someone else’s.
Practitioner candidates are expected to have completed SomaFIT™ and CoreFIT™, or to have equivalent prior experience and demonstrated understanding of the complete FIT process.
SomaFIT develops the capacity to notice sensation, recognize protection, remain present, and return when the body begins to leave. CoreFIT builds upon this foundation by working more deeply with the beliefs, pre-decisions, protective responses, and hidden patterns shaping a person’s life.
Practitioner Certification brings these foundations together and teaches you how to safely and effectively guide the complete process with another person.
Seven sessions. Three case studies. Nine sessions of practice.
The certification is completed virtually and includes seven private training and mentoring sessions directly with Loretta Mohl. Throughout the five weeks, you will complete three case studies — each involving three FIT sessions with one client, for nine case study sessions in total.
To protect confidentiality, all case study information is fully de-identified. Each person is referred to only as Case Study Client 1, 2, or 3 — no names, initials, or identifying information are ever shared.
Progressive mentoring, not a one-time evaluation.
Personal Readiness and Self-Guided FIT
You establish your training goals and guide yourself through the complete four-phase, 11-step FIT process while Loretta witnesses. Afterward, you review the process together using the Self-Guided Readiness Checklist — identifying your present strengths, your understanding of FIT, and any teaching or self-practice needed before your case studies begin.
Pre-Assessments and Case Study Preparation
You and Loretta review the two pre-assessments completed by each case study client — Soma Capacity Baseline and Protection Pattern Mapping. You’ll learn how to understand this information, explain it without labeling or diagnosing, offer it back respectfully, and help each client establish an intention for the three-session process.
First-Round Case Study Review
After the first session with all three clients, you review together:
- How assessment information and the client’s intention were introduced
- How you helped the client sit with sensation
- How you recognized leaving or protective responses
- How you guided the complete 11-step FIT process
- How you determined whether the original issue was complete
- What between-session practices were offered
- Where additional teaching, demonstration, or practice is needed
Second-Round Case Study Review
After the second session with each client, you explore whether you’re recognizing leaving sooner, helping clients return without judgment, guiding the FIT process with greater confidence, and adjusting between-session practices to each client’s capacity and protection pattern.
Final-Round Case Study Review
After the third session with each client, you review the full three-session journey — each client’s progress toward their original intention, your growth across all nine sessions, the skills you’re demonstrating consistently, and any areas still needing focused teaching or supervised practice.
Post-Assessment and Case Study Progress Review
Each client completes the same two assessments again after their third session. You and Loretta compare pre- and post-assessment information and explore how the results connect with each client’s lived experience — learning to offer this information back without overstating what the numbers mean.
Final Competency and Certification Review
Your competency is reviewed across personal understanding, assessment interpretation, supporting clients to sit with sensation, recognizing leaving and protective responses, guiding all four phases and 11 steps, maintaining focused movement, determining completion at Step 11, practitioner presence and judgment, confidentiality and ethics, and recognizing when further support or referral may be needed. Certification is awarded when the required competencies have been demonstrated; if an area needs further development, additional teaching or reassessment may be recommended first.
Helping Clients Stay With Sensation
Learning to help clients notice what is happening in their body without immediately changing, analyzing, avoiding, or disconnecting from it.
You’ll also learn to recognize the different ways a client may leave their experience, and help them return without shame, pressure, or force.
Guiding the Complete FIT Process
Once FIT begins, it moves with focused intention. Moving through the steps helps the client stay connected to the process and can reduce the opportunity for a flight response to take over.
The goal is to remain connected to the client’s direct experience while guiding all four phases and 11 steps to completion — without rushing or pushing.
Reaching Step 11 doesn’t automatically mean it’s finished.
The practitioner returns with the client to the exact issue that began the session, and explores:
- Whether any charge remains when the client thinks about the original issue
- Whether the issue now feels more distant or separate, rather than intertwined with the client
- Whether the original pre-decisions have shifted
- What new decisions are now present about self, others, and life
- Whether another part of the issue still requires attention
Learning to recognize completion — and to recognize when more work is still present — is an essential practitioner skill.

FIT™ Professional Practitioner Certification prepares you to guide individuals through the Focused Intention Technique within your existing professional role and scope of practice.
Certification in FIT does not provide a clinical licence or replace the education, credentials, legal requirements, insurance, supervision, or professional standards required within your region or profession.
Each practitioner is responsible for working within their own qualifications, competence, and lawful scope of practice.
The certification investment includes the seven private sessions and all training, mentoring, and review described in the program.
Certification is competency-based. If additional private teaching, mentoring, case study review, documentation review, or reassessment with Loretta is required beyond the included certification pathway, this time will be scheduled and charged separately at Loretta’s current hourly mentoring rate. Any additional fees will be explained and agreed upon before the additional work begins.
Self-guided practice or additional case study sessions completed independently do not carry an additional fee unless review, feedback, or mentoring from Loretta is requested or required.
Payment for additional training does not guarantee certification. Certification is granted when the required practitioner competencies and readiness have been demonstrated.
You will not be expected to develop these skills alone.
If you feel called to share FIT with others, this certification offers a deeply supported pathway from personal experience to practitioner competency. You will be guided, witnessed, and mentored throughout the process, with teaching shaped around what you need as your abilities develop.
