Focused Intention Technique (FIT™) — Building the Capacity for Lasting Transformation
Focused Intention Technique

Building the capacity for lasting transformation — from the inside out.

Awareness alone rarely changes us. Real transformation asks for something quieter: the capacity to safely experience ourselves — body, emotion, and inner wisdom — one intentional step at a time.

For those ready to understand the deeper patterns beneath their struggles, and create lasting change through safety, awareness, and embodied transformation.

The FIT Journey

One progressive method, taught in stages.

Focused Intention Technique (FIT™) is a progressive 11-step body-centered transformational process. Rather than teaching all eleven steps at once, FIT is taught progressively — because lasting transformation requires developing safety, awareness, and capacity before exploring deeper beliefs and protective patterns.

You may have noticed

The pattern is familiar, even when the understanding isn’t enough.

  • You understand your patterns, but still find yourself repeating them.
  • You know what you want to change, yet something deeper seems to hold the pattern in place.
  • Your body carries experiences that your mind has already tried to understand.
  • True transformation requires more than insight — it requires working with the whole person.

If this feels familiar, you’re not missing something. You’ve simply been working with only part of yourself. FIT was built for the rest.

Discover a different path

Understanding a pattern and changing it are not the same thing.

Many people already know why they react the way they do. They can name their triggers, their beliefs, their behaviors — yet the pattern persists. That’s because meaningful change asks for more than insight. It asks for the capacity to be present with ourselves, safely, as we are.

FIT integrates somatic awareness, emotional capacity, nervous system regulation, belief exploration, and intentional transformation into one progressive path.

SomaticAwareness of the body
EmotionalCapacity to stay present
Nervous SystemRegulation of our responses
BeliefExploration of what runs deep
IntentionTransformation we choose

FIT works with the patterns beneath the surface — not only the visible behaviors. That is what allows change to last.

Why FIT begins with SomaFIT™

When your body reacts before you have the chance to choose, lasting change becomes difficult.

Many of us want to change our thoughts, beliefs, or behaviours, yet we often discover that our body automatically reacts before we have the opportunity to choose a different response. Much of this happens outside of our awareness. By the time we notice our reaction, our nervous system has often already activated familiar protective patterns.

When our nervous system does not feel safe, it naturally responds through protection rather than presence. These protective responses are not the problem — they are adaptive strategies developed to help us cope with life’s experiences.

Without awareness, we have little opportunity to choose. Without the capacity to stay present with ourselves, awareness alone is often not enough to create lasting transformation.

This is why FIT begins with SomaFIT™.

Before exploring deeper beliefs and long-standing patterns, we first develop safety, awareness, and somatic capacity. As we strengthen our ability to stay present with our body, emotions, and internal experience, we create the conditions where deeper transformation can naturally unfold.

In healing work, we are not trying to change who we are. We are building our capacity. We return to who we naturally are.

A gentle beginning

“Let it be gentle.
Let it be sacred.
Let it begin.”

SomaFIT™

Building Safety, Awareness & Capacity

Before we explore deeper beliefs and long-standing patterns, we first develop the ability to be present with ourselves. SomaFIT is a 21-day somatic capacity-building journey — a complete process in itself, and the beginning of every FIT journey.

These first four steps build: Safety · Awareness · Somatic Capacity · Emotional Capacity · Presence

Stage Two · Steps 5–11 of the FIT Journey

CoreFIT™

Deepening the Transformation

CoreFIT continues the FIT journey through Steps 5–11, building upon the safety, awareness, and capacity developed in SomaFIT™. Together, the two stages explore the deeper patterns and beliefs shaping our choices, relationships, and responses — not to change who we are, but to meet what has been protecting us with awareness, compassion, and choice.

Level One

Foundational Beliefs

The deeper beliefs, often formed through early experience, that shape how we see ourselves, others, and life.

Level Two

Operational Beliefs

The beliefs and patterns guiding our daily reactions, decisions, behaviours, and relationships.

Level Three

Hidden Beliefs

Deeper, unconscious beliefs and protective patterns that become available as safety and capacity grow.

The FIT Spiral

Four movements, unfolding again and again.

The 11 steps of FIT move through the same spiral at increasing depth — not a straight line, but a returning path home to yourself.

The 11 steps are organized into four movements. Every time we move through the spiral, we return with greater awareness, capacity, and choice.

Steps 1–2
01

Reconnect

Creating safety and restoring connection with ourselves.

Steps 3–7
02

Retrieve

Accessing resources, strengths, and internal capacity.

Steps 8–9
03

Reveal

Bringing awareness to deeper patterns and protective responses.

Steps 10–11
04

Reclaim

Integrating transformation, choice, and authentic connection.

About the founder

Loretta Mohl

Loretta Mohl is the creator of the Focused Intention Technique (FIT), a transformational healing approach developed through more than 40 years of experience in trauma-informed practice, counselling, addiction recovery, and supporting people through profound personal change.

Through decades of working with individuals, Loretta recognized that lasting transformation requires more than insight or awareness alone — it requires a deeper connection with ourselves and the ability to create safety, presence, and capacity from within.

This understanding became the foundation of FIT: a process designed to help people reconnect with themselves, uncover the deeper patterns that shape their lives, and create lasting change from the inside out.
